Amanda Lynn Guzman, a professional DJ and resident of Pembroke Pines, Florida, died unexpectedly on May 8, 2020 at the age of 40.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Larry and Sherry Guzman, her son, Jalen Guzman, and her sisters, Alison Guzman, Angie Dierkes, and Lacey Clymer. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers Marion Howley and Jean Walters. Amanda was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on November 18, 1979. She graduated from Penn State University with a Master of Arts Degree in 2004 and was a member of the Sigma Lamda Gamma National Sorority. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Brooklyn, New York and lived there for nearly 10 years.

Amanda was a loving mother to her 19 year old son, Jalen. They enjoyed traveling, cooking, gardening, and mixing music together. Amanda, also known as DJ Amanda Blaze, is an award winning DJ with 20 years of experience DJing in clubs locally and internationally, on cruise ships, and at corporate events. With a passion for good music, she brought energy and fun to every performance. She specialized in open format music from hip hop, top 40, R&B, and old school. Amanda and her contagious laughter will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. A private funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at the Scarano Pines Memorial Chapel in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Please contact the family directly for condolences.
