‘Young and Beautiful,’ new single by Svetlana

Jazz singer Svetlana is back with a new single, “Young and Beautiful.” Out now on digital platforms, the song is a cover of Lana Del Rey’s hit of the same name. Originally an outtake from Svetlana’s Night at the Movies album (arranged by Gil Goldstein, produced by Matt Pierson, and featuring John Chin, Matthew Wilson, Elias Bailey, and a string quartet), the singer felt “Young and Beautiful” has taken a new meaning in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I decided to release the song to join others who are uplifting listeners’ spirits with their music as we are sheltering in place,” Svetlana said. “In the spirit of the album, the song expresses hopefulness for the future and power of love as the world slowly raises from the slumber of the pandemic.”
