Small Boutique Fashion Week Season 17 during NYFW

Small Boutique Fashion Show (SBFW) is in their 17th Season for a good reason. We saw the debut of the Autumn/Winter 2020 collections of some of fashion’s top independent designers in a cozy setting at Baza Studios in Midtown Manhattan on February 8, 2020. The fashion show was organized with models of all shapes and sizes.

Here, one was able to see the latest jewelry, accessories and clothing that you can only get at SBFW.

We were able to talk and network with the designers, models and vendors in a comfortable setting.

Therese Marie Jones, founder of Therese Marie Collection, showed her fine fashion design line. She says was inspired by her mother’s fashion style. Also, she gives back to charities like the Milwaukee-based Sojourner Family Peace Center, providing education, advocacy and resources to keep families safe from domestic violence.

We talked to another designer, Barbara Lorraine Behrendt, owner of Tbagsz– a reversible top that can transform into a bag. She first thought of Tbagsz after her mom passed away from cancer.

SBFW is the largest event geared toward independent fashion brands. It has displayed the collections of some of fashion’s most powerful independent fashion labels since 2012. Over 400 brands have been featured at this highly-anticipated event, and Small Boutique Fashion Week has been featured in many notable publications including Forbes, Vogue, and Fox Business News.

This show would not be possible without Preston Walker, CEO/Founder Small Boutique Fashion Week, and super publicist and host Yvonne Forbes, who produces wonderful events. More about Small Boutique can be found at smallboutiquefw.com
