The Laugh Button launches TLB Records with 800 Pound Gorilla, Riotcast; Mike Feeney album out Nov. 5

Mike Feeney’s “Rage Against The Routine” album will be released on Nov. 5 by TLB Records.

Comedy site and podcast The Laugh Button recently partnered with 800 Pound Gorilla Records and Robert Kelly’s Riotcast Network to launch a new label, TLB Records. The company will release comedy albums across digital platforms, beginning with Mike Feeney’s Rage Against The Routine. Recorded at New York Comedy Club last month, RATR will stream in full on SiriusXM’s “Raw Dog Comedy” station before dropping on Nov. 5. The Laugh Button editor-in-chief Matt Kleinschmidt celebrated the partnership in a press statement. “We love everything about this alliance!” he began. “Robert is one of the best comedians working on any comedy stage today. He has an amazing ability to identify and bring that talent out in others. He was also one of our earliest supporters of The Laugh Button.” Kleinschmidt also spoke of the synergy between his team and 800 Pound Gorilla Records. “Their enthusiasm for comedy, business ideology and complementary skill set, allowed us to become fast collaborators,” he explained.

The 800 Pound Gorilla team echoed that sentiment. “We’ve watched The Laugh Button grow from an editorial outlet to a production and event brand over the last few years,” said co-founder Ryan Bitzer. “We’re excited to pair our digital marketing prowess with their team’s talents while executing the comedic vision of Robert Kelly.”

Kelly’s description of the collaboration began more playfully. “I have been working with The Laugh Button for years, so that was a no-brainer,” he said. “But if I have to be honest, partnering up with a company called 800 Pound Gorilla is intimidating. Then I found out the name of their company had nothing to do with their physical appearance, but everything to do with the way they attack a project. Physically, they are real nerdy looking.” On a more serious note, he acknowledged the great possibilities of the partnership. “I’m very proud of the podcast network, but now to join forces with two of the biggest and best companies in the business, we can finally give our talent the growth potential they need,” Kelly shared. This is going to be epic!”

The Laugh Button will celebrate the launch of TLB Records and RATR on Nov. 6 at The Stand Comedy Club and Restaurant. The official New York Comedy Festival event will feature Robert Kelly, Rich Vos, Mike Feeney, and others. More information is available here.

Feeney’s Rage Against The Routine is available for pre-order now through TLB Records.
