Ron Suno to drop ‘Pinocchio Remix’ feat. Blueface
Social media and news outlets have been abuzz following word that Blueface is featured on the remix to rapper and comedian Ron Suno’s hit single, “Pinocchio.” The collaboration was revealed in Blueface’s Instagram Story, with screengrabs quickly appearing on YouTube, Reddit, and other sites. Additionally, a press release for the remix divulged that Blueface contributed an “impressive” verse that quoted the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard of Wu-Tang Clan fame. Suno said that he chose Blueface for the remix after the Cash Money artist said comedians cannot be successful rappers. “He wasn’t talking about me… but me doing the song with Blueface shows the fans that certain comedians could be rappers,” he told VladTV.
Indeed, Suno’s “Pinocchio” has amassed over 17 million streams across platforms, and was followed by the success of his single “Spider-Man” featuring Fivio Foreign. The Bronx native’s reach extends from radio play and online streams, to TikTok challenges and live performances. “The thing that separates me from other comedians– I’m the first comedian drill rapper,” Suno explained. “I got serious raps. Stuff that have to do with outside, stuff that have to do with what I see, what I’ve been through. When you see my skits, and then you go to my raps, it’s two different lanes.”
The “Pinocchio” remix will be released on May 10 through SBL Music Group and UnitedMasters distribution company. In the meantime, watch the original video above, and follow Ron Suno on Instagram at @ronsuno.
