Tommy Bahama opens its first destination resort
Lifestyle brand Tommy Bahama will open its first resort, Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa, in the Palm Springs area on Nov. 1. Located on 11 acres in Indian Wells, CA, the 215-guestroom property includes five luxury villa suites, two bars (one of them poolside), three saltwater pools, a restaurant, boutique store, a 12,000-square-foot spa, and 35,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting and event space. Tommy Bahama CEO Doug Wood described the resort as a blend of the relaxed brand and luxury. “With this resort, we’re crafting an entirely new concept of leisure,” he said in a press release. “Fusing the essence of our brand with the unparalleled beauty of this desert oasis and creating a destination where every moment feels like a timeless escape.”
The resort is an elegant addition to the brand’s already rich history in southern California. The Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Bar and Store in Palm Desert opened in 1998, Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar opened in Palm Springs in 2018, and the Tommy Bahama Home store opened in Newport Beach in 2023. Future resorts are planned in other locations.
