New Music: Latashá’s ‘Go Go Wyne’
Latashá is a rapper, singer-songwriter, recording and performance artist from New York City. Highly influenced by her diverse and eclectic roots, Latashá stepped into music with the vision to be the dark horse icon for her generation. After graduating from Wesleyan University, Latashá has engaged with crowds around the country and has opened for various artists like Big Sean, Kanye West, Princess Nokia, and Kate Tempest.
Latashá has toured festivals like SXSW, Afro-Latino Fest, and the Brooklyn Hip Hop Fest, and is well prepared to perform around the world. She recently headlined at the Brooklyn Museum, The Shed and Le Poisson Rouge. As an unsigned artist, Latashá has flourished and grown her audience through her energetic, vulnerable, fun yet empowering music and stage performance.
In 2015, Latashá became the first Hip Hop artist in residence at National Sawdust, where she began to cultivate the creative multimedia experiences she now tours. In addition to her creative prowess, Latashá has also shown dexterity in the commercial realm through writing and performing for Maybelline, Ulta Beauty and Tic Tac x IheartRadio, and has had her music featured on shows like Freeform’s “Grown-ish” and Netflix Originals.
With “Go Go Wyne,” Latashá delivers a summer dancehall and hip hop fused party track that will have your hips winding and grinding with its rhythmically addicting sound. “Go Go Wyne” is a record for the girls getting what they want and knowing their worth.
