Fans of the hit HBO series “The Sopranos” will converge on the Meadowlands Exposition Center this month for the show’s first-ever themed convention. SopranosCon will take place on Nov. 23-24, and feature a plethora of stars from the legendary series. Former castmembers confirmed to attend include Dominic Chianese (Corrado “Junior” Soprano), Tony Sirico (Paulie “Walnuts” Gualtieri), Vincent Pastore (Sal “Big P****” Bonpensiero), Vincent Curatola (John “Johnny Sack” Sacrimoni), and dozens more. Also confirmed is a performance by Alabama 3, whose single “Woke Up This Morning” became the iconic theme song for “The Sopranos.”
In addition to panels and photo opportunities, SopranosCon will include comedy shows, trivia, cannoli-eating contests, an homage and mural to James Gandolfini, and more. VIP events include a cocktail hour, meet and greets, and after parties. “This event will be an experience no true fan will want to miss,” said Joe Fama, owner of Famous Signs and a co-presenter of SopranosCon. “We have spent years designing sets, exhibits, and more for this event. There will certainly be something for everyone.”
